TWENTY-ONE

SIDNEY

Igrab the seltzer from Zach and make my way to the bow, crawling onto the small space there. The cushion is comfortable, and I bet if I laid down I would fall asleep here as the boat rocks in the water. I would always fall asleep in my Uncle Owen’s boat when we would go out, the rocking of the waves lulling me to sleep.

I lean against the edge, tipping my head back and letting the ends of my wet braids hang over the edge. The sunset lights up the sky in the prettiest shades of pink and yellow, making it feel like I’m in a dream. Zach stands between the boat windshields, leaning against one, staring at me. The sunset behind him creates a maddeningly delicious glow around him.

“Come here,” he whispers. “You’re too far away.” He taps the top of my feet, which are stretched out in front of me.

I take another long sip of my seltzer and set it down in a cup holder beside me, tucking my legs underneath me. I drop my hands to the cushion and crawl toward him.

“Fuck,” he says, turning to set his drink down. I can see the bulge in his swim trunks has gotten noticeably bigger since getting out of the water, and the pulse between my legs quickens.

Once I’m to the edge, I sit back on my heels and peer up at him with a grin reaching my hands toward the ties of his swim trunks.

He reaches out and grabs my wrists before I can pull them any further. “Hold on, princess.”

“You don’t want this?” I ask him, guilty thinking I must have read his signs wrong.

“Believe me, I do. I’m not the first though.” He bends over and grabs my jaw to lift my head so his mouth is hovering above mine. “Do you know how badly I need to taste you?” The heat of his breath against mine only makes me squirm.

“No,” I let out a breathy sigh.

“So fucking bad, it’s all I’ve been able to think about since the shower. I wish I had been the one to clean you up instead of letting you taste yourself.” He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. I reach down between my legs and into my swimsuit. Quickly sticking a finger inside myself, I hold back a groan so he won’t know. Right as he releases his breath and opens his eyes, I remove my finger and bring it to his mouth.

There’s a flash of surprise before he opens up and sucks my finger into his mouth, tongue dancing around the tip of it before swirling around, and releasing it. He tightens his grip on my jaw and pulls me closer. “God, you’re already so wet for me, and you taste like heaven.”

He licks his lips, and we’re close enough that I feel the brush of his tongue against my lips. “That’s not nearly enough. I need more.” He’s almost growling at this point, and I’m surprised his hands haven’t found their way under my suit yet.
